Fortis’s Marinemaster isn’t just a dive watch, though it may be taken as such at first glance. Whether you’re hiking, swimming, fishing, or (yes) diving, the Marinemaster is meant to be your companion given any adventure’s on the horizon. The Marinemaster series features a 120-click Gear Bezel™, Superluminova on hands and dial, and a triple gasket protected screw-down crown. It’s a design inspired by nature and intended for it, utilizing recycled steel in it’s construction. This latest model by Fortis is rugged, green and purpose built to be your next tool watch.
The M-40 model of the Marinemaster is 40mm at the diameter and 43mm from lug-to-lug. It strikes a similar silhouette to the M-44, but in a scaled down package. The case is rated 300m water resistant and features a uni-directional, 120-click elapsed time bezel. Furthermore, details from the dial are carried over to the rubber horizon strap. Optionally, you can equip your Marinemaster with a stainless steel block bracelet.
Inside the M-40 is a UW-30 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW-200. This reliable Swiss made movement has a central hour, minute, and second hand with a date at the three o’clock position. It features hacking, hand-winding, and a 38-hour power reserve. Other features include a 26-jewel count and frequency of 28,800 beats per hour for a smooth sweeping seconds hand.
